# Change Character Prompt

Change Character Prompt allows you to alter the prompt given to the AI Chat Agent during your simulation.

Change Character Prompt alters the prompt given to the AI Chat agent during your simulation. You can change the behavior, knowledge and goal of the agent, which lets it perform multiple roles in the middle of a simulation by switching to the prompt that is needed at the time.

In the text field, type the prompt you want the AI Chat agent to use.

**Note:** This overwrites the previous prompt in the agent's memory. The agent still has access to the entire conversation up to this point unless you also use the  action.
