# Reset Chat

Resets the chat from the AI. This will return the AI back to a state before any user input was provided to it.

Reset Chat removes the AI Chat's memory of the conversation. The AI returns to the state it was in before any user input was provided to it.

To change the prompt the AI Chat agent uses while keeping the conversation so far, see Change Character Prompt. Change Character Prompt alone does not clear the conversation; use Reset Chat as well if you want a fresh start.
