# State Actions

State actions are the individual actions in each state. This page describes the States panel, where the actions of a state are set. Each numbered item below refers to the screenshot.

1. **States/Transitions Swap Button:** changes the UI from the Attributes tab to the States or Transitions tab.
2. **State Name Value:** the given name of the selected state.
3. **State Entry Actions:** the actions that run when the state is entered.
4. **Add Additional Actions Button:** adds the selected action to the state's action list.
5. **Action Type Values:** the dropdown where you choose the type of action to add.
6. **State Exit Actions:** the actions that run when the state is exited.
