# Conditions

Conditions use the Attributes of the objects in your simulation to check whether they match your desired outcome before allowing an action to occur. They can be structured like if/and/or statements in programming, so complex situations can be checked before a Transition or State Action takes place.

To use a Condition:

1. Select an Entity from the dropdown list. It is populated with every VO or VP in the space.
2. Select an Attribute from the dropdown list. It is populated with every Attribute on the selected Entity.
3. Select the Operator for your desired condition.
4. Set the Value for comparison.

When the attribute's value fulfills the condition, the state transition can occur if all other parameters are met. You can have as many Conditions as you need in any state. Be careful not to create impossible or contradictory Conditions, as they would prevent your simulation from being traversable.
