# Triggers

Triggers are interactions that can be used to advance through the Scenario Flow or Rules. They usually are actions that are performed by a user, but can also be passively done.

Triggers are interactions that advance the [Scenario Flow](/hyperskill-studio-authoring/state-machine-reference/scenario-flow.md) or fire a [Rule](/hyperskill-studio-authoring/state-machine-reference/rules.md). They are usually actions performed by the learner, but they can also happen passively, for example when time passes.

The available Triggers are: Collide, Conversation Update, Grab, Proximity, Rejected Intent, Snap, Voice Intent, Ungrab, Unsnap, Use, Use Release and Wait. Each has its own page in this section.
