Career Pathways

An image-based assessment that matches learners to careers, salaries and training paths.

Career Pathways gives you career recommendations after you take a short, image-based assessment of 60 work activities. It also recommends simulations related to the careers that best match you. Try it out at pathway.siminsights.com.

Take the assessment

To begin, click the Start the assessment button on the home page or the Assessment tab at the top of the page.

You must be signed into your HyperSkill account to use Career Pathways.

On the Assessment screen, go through each of the 60 image-based work activities. For each image:

• Click Yes if the activity interests you or is something you would want to do for work.

• Click No if the activity does not interest you at all.

• Click Skip if you are unsure.

Your results

After the 60 images, Career Pathways shows 10 potential careers based on your answers, ordered by how closely each career matches your RIASEC profile. A RIASEC profile is a ranking in 6 categories that Career Pathways uses to find careers that suit your interests. Your profile is shown immediately after you finish the assessment and shows where you rank in each category.

My Matches

After you have completed an assessment, you can view your career results at any time in the My Matches tab at the top of the screen. Each career result shows:

• What the career is about, the median salary, annual job openings, the industry it fits into, and its growth rate.

• Why Career Pathways recommended it for you.

• The top skills and knowledge areas needed for the career.

• The take-home pay.

• A typical 5-step pathway for securing the career.
