# Playing a Spark

What a learner does in a Spark: talking or typing with an AI character, and the feedback at the end.

A Spark opens at [spark.siminsights.com](https://spark.siminsights.com), from its Skillful page or from inside a lesson.

1. Press **Begin**.
2. Talk or type. The microphone button at the bottom turns your voice on and off; the text box works too. Some Sparks are text only, depending on how they were authored.
3. Interrupt whenever you like. Typing or speaking while the character talks stops it.
4. When you are done, press **End** (top right). If the Spark gives feedback, it asks you to confirm, then shows your feedback panel by panel.

Inside a lesson, finishing the Spark moves the lesson on. On its own, the last screen tells you the session is complete.

The layout varies by Spark: some show a video character, some a scene with a chat panel, some the chat alone. Use the buttons in the chat header to expand the chat or move it aside.
