# Sign in on a headset

Installing HyperSkill on a headset, and the three ways to sign in once it opens.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Install HyperSkill

On the headset, open the Meta Store, search for **HyperSkill**, and install the app.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Launch it

The opening screen offers three ways in: **Input Pin Code**, **Log in / Sign Up**, and **Downloads**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Input Pin Code

Jumps straight into a simulation with a PIN, no HyperSkill account needed. This is how students join a live session. See Get students in.

## Log in / Sign Up

Sign in to your own HyperSkill account on the headset.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Press Log in / Sign Up in the headset

It shows a link and a one-time activation code.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Enter the code on another device

On a laptop or phone, sign in to your HyperSkill account, go to the URL shown in the headset ([auth.siminsights.com/activate](https://auth.siminsights.com/activate)), and enter the code.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
The code is unique to each sign-in attempt. Enter the one currently shown in your headset.
{% endhint %}

## Downloads

Once you're signed in, use **Downloads** to save simulations to the headset. Downloaded simulations stay available from the same button even after you sign out, so they still open without a connection.
