Account & Access Setup
Why are most simulations marked as "paid" under my login, and how can I access them? If you’re seeing simulations marked as "paid," it may be due to account permissions or subscription status. To resolve this:
Ensure your account has the correct access level.
Verify that your organization has purchased licenses for the simulations you need.
Share the email associated with your account with our support team, and we will ensure the correct permissions are applied.
If the issue persists, please contact our support team for further assistance.
How do we create additional accounts for staff members to access simulations? To add staff members, create their accounts as usual. Then, send an email to SimInsights (douglchoi@siminsights) with their details, and we will assign them access under the existing license.
What is the best way to create accounts for youth? Should each student have their own account or be grouped under a shared login? The best approach depends on how the simulations will be used. If students will be accessing headsets in a classroom setting without any student management systems, the easiest solution is to create individual accounts for each student. This ensures seamless access and progress tracking. If you have specific usage needs, please contact us for further guidance.
Are there any account activation steps that we might have missed? To ensure proper activation, reach out to SimInsights with the accounts that need access. For the quickest activation, please email douglchoi@siminsights with the details of the accounts.
User Management & Permissions
Can we create custom learning paths or assign specific simulations to users? You can assign simulations to users that you've created yourself, using methods like pin codes or direct access. However, custom assignments are not available for Skillful simulations at this time.
Are passwords provided for SimInsights accounts? Is there a way to log in without third-party authentication? Yes, Pin Codes are provided for SimInsights accounts, allowing users to log in without needing third-party authentication.
Can we customize multiple user roles within our organization’s account? The available user roles within our organization system are Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer. Customization of roles beyond these classifications is not currently supported.
Integration & Support
What are the best practices for ensuring a smooth onboarding and user experience? For users who are new to VR, it’s recommended to start with the tutorial simulation. This will help familiarize them with the interface and ensure a smoother overall experience.
Are there training resources available for administrators and users on managing/using Skillful effectively? Yes, you can access training resources on managing and using Skillful effectively at this link.
What kind of customer support is available if we encounter issues? Customer support is available through our forum, where you can find answers to common questions and interact with our support team for assistance.

How can we track student progress within Skillful? Does the platform offer real-time reporting for individual and group metrics?

What types of data and metrics can we track within Skillful? You can view the following metrics within Skillful’s data analytics and tracking features:
Time spent in simulations

Is there a way to export reports for funding and evaluation purposes? Yes, reports can be exported as CSV files.
Do youth earn credentials or certificates within the platform to track their learning milestones? Not currently, but if this is something of interest to you, please let us know, and we’ll consider incorporating it into our development plan.
Can we create custom learning paths or assign specific simulations to different youth participants? Yes, you can assign specific simulations to different youth participants, allowing for customized learning experiences based on their needs and goals.
Is there a recommended pace for completing modules for optimal engagement and retention? Yes, we recommend sessions of 10-15 minutes in VR at a time, as this tends to be the sweet spot for maintaining engagement and retention.
Meta Quest 3 Technical Support
What are the minimum device requirements and settings needed to run Skillful smoothly on Meta Quest 3? You can find the full system requirements and recommended settings here: System Requirements.
Does Skillful require specific software or app installations on the headset, or does it work via a web-based interface? Skillful works through a dedicated app on the Meta Quest headset. You can watch the installation process and setup guide in this video: Skillful Setup Guide.
Is there a recommended setup guide for configuring Skillful on multiple headsets? Yes, you can use platforms like Quest for Business, ManageXR, or Arbor XR to manage and configure Skillful on multiple headsets. These options provide efficient ways to set up and maintain your devices.
How do we troubleshoot connectivity issues if we experience problems launching or interacting with the simulations? Error codes will typically indicate whether the issue is related to internet connectivity or another cause. If the error persists, you can set up offline mode as an alternative (this setup requires prior configuration).
What are the best tips for preventing nausea or motion sickness in the XR environments? To minimize nausea or motion sickness, consider the following tips:
Minimize teleportation when possible.
Avoid simulations with forced movement (there are very few in Skillful).
Set up spaces in Roomscale boundary mode, if possible, to allow users to walk around naturally in the space.
Are there adjustable comfort settings for reducing dizziness or screen strain? Yes, the Quest device offers some brightness settings and text adjustments that can help reduce dizziness or screen strain. Adjusting these settings can enhance comfort during extended use.
